The E2 Plus is our fully-loaded home charger. A 7.4 kW single-phase smart EV charger capable of adding up to 50km of range per hour. Complete with solar charging and home overload protection built in. Also comes with 4G connectivity, an 8-metre cable, a choice of colours, and additional app features for Tesla drivers.

Best for homes where the Wi-Fi connection may not be reliable, or requiring a longer cable to reach a tricky parking spot.

Installation

Professional installation by a certified electrician or installer is required for this charger to function as advertised. This purchase option does not include installation services. You are responsible for organising a professional installation service and ensuring the installer follows all necessary installation instructions.

Please note that if you're in Queensland, installing a home EV charger that draws more than 20 amps requires active device management to manage electricity demand. Evnex chargers comply with this regulation by offering a 20A nameplate rating (4.6 kW), meeting the rules without additional hardware or restrictions.

Connectivity

All Evnex chargers require an internet connection for continual access to smart features. This charger has Wi-Fi and 4G connectivity which is intended to keep it online. If offline for more than 28 days, this charger will lose access to some features such as smart scheduling and solar charging (if enabled). It will continue to operate as a basic 'plug-and-play' charger until it comes back online.

Warranty + Compliance

Residential chargers have a warranty of four years, and commercially-installed chargers have a warranty of three years.

E2 Plus FAQs

What is the E2 Plus?

The E2 Plus is our premium single-phase home charger. Everything in the E2 Core, plus a longer 8m cable, built-in 4G as a Wi-Fi backup, four colour options, and Tesla integration. Designed for homes that want more reach, more reliability, and more control.

Why is the E2 Plus cable 8m instead of 5m?

For homes where the charger and the EV aren't close mates. Long driveway, charger inside the garage and car parked outside, awkward EV charging port position: the extra reach sorts it. Also handy if you've got two EVs that take turns on the charger.

Do I need Wi-Fi to use the E2 Plus?

You don't have to worry about it either way. Wi-Fi is the primary connection because it's faster and free, but the Plus has a built-in 4G SIM as a backup, so if your Wi-Fi drops, or your garage is a Wi-Fi dead zone, the charger stays online through cellular. No setup, no monthly fee for home residential use, it just works.

This matters because smart features like solar diversion, scheduling, remote control through the app, and live charging data all rely on the charger being online. The 4G backup means the Plus stays connected in setups where the Flex or Core might not.

Can I install the E2 Plus if my home has three-phase power?

Yes. The E2 Plus is a single-phase charger, so it'll draw from just one of your three phases when installed. That works well for most homes and cars.

If you've got solar, though, add our Power Sensor Kit. It's an optional add-on that lets your Plus monitor all three phases of your home's power supply. That way, solar diversion sees the full picture across your whole home and charges based on your true net export across all three phases, not just the one your charger's wired to. Talk to sales when you order and we can bundle this in.

What colours does the E2 Plus come in?

Charcoal, Snow, Sand, and Stone. Snow is recommended for indoor installs, since it can discolour in direct sun over time.

Can the E2 Plus manage multiple chargers?

Yes. The E2 Plus can operate as a Server (the head unit that coordinates power sharing) or a Client (controlled by another Server) in a multi-charger setup. Useful if you've got two EVs at home or are building out a small shared setup.

Does the E2 Plus integrate with Tesla?

For Tesla drivers, the E2 Plus comes with a few additional features. You can connect your Tesla account to the Evnex app and unlock two Tesla-only features:

See your car's battery state of charge inside the Evnex app
Tap the action button on your charger to open the Tesla charge port flap or unlock the cable

The E2 Flex and E2 Core don't support the integration. They'll still charge your Tesla, you just won't get those two extras.
