Evnex E2 Core

The E2 Core is our most popular home charger. Smart, solar-ready, and built for everyday driving. It comes with full solar smarts, overload protection, scheduling, and app control. Everything most homes need to charge cheaper and cleaner without thinking about it.

If your panels are producing more power than your home is using, the E2 Core can divert that excess straight into your car instead of sending it to the grid. You set it up once in the app, and from then on it does the thinking for you. Plug in, walk away, drive on sunshine.

If you've got a home battery in the mix too, the E2 Core can be configured to charge from solar without draining your battery into the car. Your installer will get this set up at install.

Up to 50km of range per hour, roughly four times faster than a 3-pin plug. A typical 60kWh battery goes from 20% to full in about 6.5 hours. Enough to wake up to a full charge every morning, no matter how much you drive.

A 5m tethered cable (Type 2), built-in Wi-Fi, the Evnex app, full solar smarts, overload protection, scheduling, and a 4-year residential warranty. Standard installation through an Evnex-certified electrician is available if you'd like us to handle it end-to-end.

Yes. The E2 Core is a single-phase charger, so it'll draw from just one of your three phases when installed. That's fine for most homes and cars.

If you've got solar, though, you'll want to look at our Power Sensor Kit as an optional add-on. Without it, your charger only sees one phase of your home's power. With it, the charger can monitor all three phases, so solar diversion sees the full picture across your whole home and charges based on your true net export. If you're running solar on a three-phase supply, this is what makes sure you're actually charging on excess solar, not accidentally pulling from the grid because your panels are exporting on a different phase.

The E2 Core runs on Wi-Fi. If your Wi-Fi is reliable at the charger location, you're sorted. If your router is at the front of the house and your charger is in the back garage, connection can get patchy. The E2 Plus adds a 4G backup for exactly this reason.

Yes. The E2 Core is Amber-compatible, so it can charge automatically when wholesale prices are lowest. It also works with standard peak/off-peak tariffs. You just set the schedule in the app.
